Stack: A Bionic Range Hood for Optimal Air Purification

What sets Stack apart is its powerful purification capabilities and ability to produce the exact amount of negative ions needed to restore optimal ambient air conditions. The hood features a series of cylinders, each equipped with a ventilation system that draws in air and expels it from the top. To conserve energy, only the cylinders that require purification are activated, resulting in improved performance and aesthetics as they move up and down.

Stack is crafted using stainless steel in grey and white colors, with advanced electronic circuits that make the hood smart. The use of advanced molding technology ensures a seamless design, while LED lighting integrated into the structure creates an automatic system that prevents dust and dirt buildup. The surface is coated with a Nano and unteachable top coat, providing durability and easy maintenance. Limited versions of Stack also incorporate glass and wood for added elegance.

With dimensions of 880 mm x 500 mm x 700 mm, Stack is designed to be installed on the ceiling or wall. After a 10-minute calibration period, the hood can be operated using a remote control or the accompanying app. Users can set the fan to a regular cycle or adjust the speed by simply touching the surface of the hood.

The Stack project was initiated on December 2nd, 2017, and completed on January 23rd, 2018, in Tehran, Iran. Extensive research on natural science, bionic science, and plant behavior in response to environmental factors formed the foundation for this innovative design. Overcoming the challenge of transforming a regular kitchen hood into a mechanical structure inspired by plants was a testament to the designers' creativity and technical expertise.

Stack has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Home Appliances Design category in 2018. This recognition highlights the product's outstanding design, incorporating art, science, and technology to enhance quality of life and create a better environment.
