Golden Shower by Chinchin: A Lavish Lounge Bar Experience

Nevermore's Award-Winning Design Marries Luxury and Minimalism

The inspiration behind the Golden Shower by Chinchin was to recreate the lavish atmosphere and absolute indulgence enjoyed by the high society. The design team achieved this by cladding the bar in mesmerising gold and pink, creating a visually stunning and inviting environment. The result is a stand-alone bar house that is unlike any other.

One of the unique properties of this design is its custom-made mild steel hanging feature and grille, painted in gold and pink respectively. This feature, along with the carefully selected pink fabric that complements the painted interior, adds to the overall aesthetic appeal of the lounge. The design team had to consider all areas before starting the hacking works as the site is a quite aged property. The most challenging part was installing the custom-made oversize hanging display over the bar securely to the existing solid wood structure.

The Golden Shower by Chinchin is located in a 22ft x 130ft shop house. The design process took three months, during which the team conducted extensive research to understand the client's main intention and requirements. The aim was to introduce a one-of-a-kind luxury bar/lounge to the public, designed in a narrow shop house. The team had to overcome creative, technical, and research challenges, including withstanding the weight of the hanging light feature in mild steel finish.

The lounge is clad in shades of pink, exuding a charming persona that is enhanced with glamorous gold finishes. The design adopts a minimalist approach with a classical twist, offering a comfortable space for patrons. The seating area is enveloped in pink hues, anchored by an oblong bar counter. The oversize custom-made hanging display, completed in gold spray paint finishing, complements the design. Each space is designed with care and intention to impress.

The Golden Shower by Chinchin has been recognised for its outstanding design, winning the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
