Long Park Phase II Show Flat 3C-B: A New Interpretation of Fashion

Modern Minimalism Meets Exquisite Detail in DHO International Design Company's Award-Winning Project

Long Park Phase II Show Flat 3C-B, a residential show flat designed by DHO International Design Company, is a testament to the power of modern minimalism and exquisite detail. This design project, which won the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019, is a unique blend of form and function, offering a fresh perspective on residential design.

The project, which began in May 2018 and was completed in October of the same year, was designed for a family of three. The design team, led by Chief Designer Dickson Hung, sought to create a space that was both stylish and practical, with a focus on modern minimalism and exquisite detail. The result is a space that is both visually stunning and highly functional, with a unique aesthetic that sets it apart from other residential designs.

The design team drew inspiration from the principles of modern minimalism, applying the "less is more" approach to create a space that is both simple and sophisticated. The living room and dining room are combined into one open area, featuring wood flooring and a background wall that complements the handicraft painting, wall lamps, and greenery. The master bedroom is dominated by low-saturation colors, with golden elements adding a touch of brightness to the space. The kitchen is connected to the dining area, with a balcony that doubles as a bar counter, offering both practicality and visual appeal.

The unique properties of the design lie in its attention to detail and its use of materials. The project utilized a palette of white marbles, solid wood floorboards, brushed black steel, wood veneers, wired glass, grey mirrors, and cloth and leather coverings. The wood veneers were custom made at the factory, ensuring that they were environmentally friendly and exquisite in detail. This careful selection of materials adds a level of sophistication and individuality to the space, reflecting the taste of modern people.

The design team faced several challenges during the realization of the project, including meeting the client's high expectations. However, with a spirit of striving for the best, the designers were able to overcome these challenges, breaking conventional logic and overturning the design solution several times until they found the best one. The result is a space that is not only visually stunning, but also highly functional, meeting the practical needs of the family while also reflecting their unique tastes and lifestyle.

In conclusion, Long Park Phase II Show Flat 3C-B is a testament to the power of modern minimalism and exquisite detail. With its unique aesthetic and attention to detail, this project offers a fresh perspective on residential design, proving that less can indeed be more. As Coco Chanel once said, "In order to be irreplaceable, one must be different". This project is a perfect example of this principle, offering a unique and irreplaceable design that is sure to inspire others in the field.
