A Functional and Ergonomic Design Inspired by the Art of Knotting

The Pianeti NODO necklace stands out from other designs due to its innovative construction. It closes on the front without the use of a clasp, thanks to a specific steel core that is slipped by hand into the PVC wire. This design feature makes it both functional and ergonomic, providing a comfortable fit for the wearer.

Handmade in Italy by Maria Laura herself in her Creative Lab, the Pianeti NODO necklace showcases the designer's attention to detail and commitment to quality. The components of the necklace are sourced from five different Italian suppliers, ensuring the use of authentic and high-quality materials.

The necklace features a larger pearl of Murano blown glass, accompanied by two smaller pearls of silver-leaf colored glass. The choice of materials can be customized according to the designer's vision, the preferences of private clients, or the current fashion trends. However, the unique construction of the necklace remains the same.

With dimensions of 150 mm in width and 220 mm in height, the Pianeti NODO necklace is lightweight, weighing only 45 grams. Its design allows for easy wearability, making it a versatile accessory that can elevate any outfit.

The Pianeti NODO necklace was created in January 2015 and showcased at Fuori Salone DIN DesignIn Milano in April 2015. The design process involved extensive research and experimentation to find the right materials and ensure the necklace's functionality and durability. It took the designer several months of trial and error before settling on the perfect steel wire core that now forms an integral part of the necklace.

This unique design has received recognition in the form of the Bronze A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category in 2018. The award acknowledges the creativity, technical skill, and resourcefulness demonstrated in the design, as well as its contribution to improving the quality of life.
