Yammino: A Unique Ethno Loft Style Fast Food Restaurant

Creating a Spacious and Modern Dining Experience

The Yammino restaurant, designed by Irina Greciuhina, brings together the best of national cuisine, modernity, and progress in a trendy establishment. With its unique ethno loft style, this Caucasian fast food restaurant offers a delightful dining experience for young people, students, and anyone looking for a delicious and fast meal.

The interior of Yammino is a testament to the creativity and craftsmanship of Irina Greciuhina. From the tables and sofas to the doors and lamps, many elements of the restaurant's interior were handcrafted. The design prioritized space-saving, with 30 seats arranged in a way that leaves the interior feeling spacious and inviting.

One of the standout features of Yammino is the integration of different materials and techniques. Concrete, a modern component, is balanced by traditional ethnic elements, such as national details and furniture. This fusion of styles creates a unique and captivating atmosphere that sets Yammino apart from other fast food restaurants.

The realization of the design involved the use of concrete, metal, and wood as the primary materials. The logo is carved on a decorative concrete wall, while the tandoor, hood, original flower pots, and bar counter are also made of concrete. Metal was used for the structure of the bar counter, frame of the lamps, and some furniture elements. Wood and plywood were utilized for certain furniture pieces, as well as the intricately carved door.

Located near institutions such as the Republican Hospital and Oncologic Center, Yammino strategically caters to foreign students from Eastern countries who study in the vicinity. The restaurant fills a gap in the area by offering healthy Caucasian food in a fast food format. Before the design process began, the client and designer thoroughly analyzed the human flow in the area and conducted interviews to ensure the restaurant's concept aligned with the needs and preferences of the target audience.

The Yammino project commenced in August 2016 and was completed in February 2017. It was nominated at The National Architectural Contest DAS PREMIU 2017, showcasing its recognition within the industry. The design was driven by extensive research, taking into account the surrounding institutions and the demand for accessible meals in the area.

Overcoming the challenge of limited space, the architect successfully incorporated a significant amount of equipment while maintaining a comfortable number of seats for visitors. The interior of Yammino is designed to appeal to young people, featuring a bright, light, and modern aesthetic with Eastern attributes. The choice of materials and color palette reflects this youthful and contemporary vibe.

Yammino's ethno loft style design is a result of the quest for innovative solutions in creating a brand new interior. The integration of Caucasian ethnic elements in a loft setting, along with the use of various materials and techniques, has resulted in a truly unique dining experience. Yammino was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2018, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial standards.
