O3JECT: An Iconic Image of a Tap-Proof Room

Awareness and Advertising Campaign

As private free space will become a valuable resource in the future, the rising need to define and design this room is a matter of importance in our present age.

The key visual of the campaign is arranged in a puristic structure, with graphic elements applied in subtle proportions and fixed positions. This creates a distinct hierarchy of information, emphasizing the campaign's key principle: the medium is the message. The minimalistic use of typographic styles and graphical effects allows the cube to seemingly float above, capturing the viewer's attention.

The cube itself is manufactured based on the principle of the Faraday Cage, shielding electrostatic fields within its inside. This tap-proof room represents a valuable and private space in a world where privacy is increasingly scarce. The selected materials, such as museum glass, tin, stainless steel mesh, and brass, are carefully chosen to create a seamless and beautiful object.

The campaign includes a poster series, a 2K video, and a captivating soundtrack composed by Benjamin Krause. The physical product dimensions of the cube are 100mm in height, width, and depth. The poster series is printed in digital FineArt-print on Din A0 and Din A1 paper. The campaign's visualization was exhibited at the NRW FORUM Düsseldorf in February 2016.

O3JECT is not only a visually stunning campaign but also a thought-provoking reminder of the importance of private space in our society. It challenges us to consider the future of privacy and the role of design in creating and defining our personal spaces. As the project continues, O3JECT aims to further explore and promote the concept of tap-proof rooms.

Matthias Schneck holds the copyrights for this design, which was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2016. This prestigious award recognizes the outstanding expertise and innovation demonstrated by O3JECT, showcasing its strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill.
