Ouya Office: A Unique Space Balancing Black and White

Breaking the Boundaries of Traditional Office Design

This design project focuses on the interplay between black and white, using a combination of materials and innovative spatial deconstruction to achieve a visually captivating effect. The use of simple materials allows for a comparison of textures and forms, while the careful manipulation of light and space creates a sense of depth and dimension.

One of the key features of the Ouya office is the use of triangular shapes and irregular, asymmetric compositions. This unconventional approach adds a sense of dynamism and energy to the space, making it both visually interesting and stimulating for its occupants.

The realization of this design involved the combination of three materials: plastic, wood, and artificial marble. These materials were carefully selected to enhance the visual impact of the space while also providing functional and aesthetic benefits.

The Ouya office spans a construction area of 350 square meters, offering ample space for creativity and collaboration. The design team, led by Yubiao Xu, carefully considered the interaction between the space and its users, aiming to create a symbiotic relationship that fosters productivity and well-being.

By extending the use of materials from the ground to the walls and ceilings, the Ouya office achieves a cohesive and integrated design. This approach allows for the creation of a unified space that evokes a sense of continuity and flow.

The Ouya office project was completed in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, China, from February 2016 to June 2016. Throughout the design process, the team conducted extensive research on sustainable materials, aiming to create a space that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally friendly.

Yubiao Xu, the designer behind this remarkable project, has been working in the design industry for 13 years. His professional attitude and dedication to his craft have earned him recognition and praise from both the industry and his clients.

The Ouya office design has been awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2017. This prestigious award recognizes designs that exhibit outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
