Chow's design approach to Satori's pool is nothing short of revolutionary. He adopted a trio-effect to showcase three distinct yet creatively integrated sections within one main pool. This unique feature sets Satori apart from conventional pool designs, offering a refreshing perspective on how pools can be envisioned and realized.
Creating Satori was a meticulous process that involved 3D modeling, textures matching application, and Photoshop retouching. The design team, led by Chow, studied plans from landscape designing to visualizing the pool deck. The result is a stunning 3D visual that not only portrays the intended mood and feel of Satori but also enhances the value of the property.
Chow's attention to detail is evident in every aspect of Satori. From the use of glass tiles and pool podium homogenous files to the addition of a sunken deck, pool cabana, pool bar & cafe, wading pool, and aqua gym, every element is carefully curated to create a sanctuary of enlightenment. The design even utilizes the dramatic effects of the "golden hour" (sunset) to project the soothing elements of its facilities deck.
Despite the challenges faced, such as recreating a photorealistic 3D visualization and enhancing the landscape architecture of the facility deck, Chow and his team successfully overcame them. Their efforts were recognized when Satori was awarded Silver in A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award in 2018, a prestigious accolade given to designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
With Satori, Chow has indeed projected the essence of enlightenment, creating a unique pool deck that awakens sensations of relaxation. It is a testament to the transformative power of design, and a shining example of how design can enhance lifestyle and wellbeing.
