Badge Design Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of Guangxi Arts University

This series of designs, created by Xinhao Pan from Guangxi Arts University, pays tribute to the 80th anniversary of the university. The inspiration for these designs comes from the university's motto of "love and sincerity," which is reflected in the hand-painted fonts and composition design methods used. The designs feature the phrases "love and sincerity," "GXAU," and "80th anniversary," as well as the name of the school.

What sets these designs apart is their focus on highlighting the regional characteristics of Guangxi and promoting traditional Chinese culture. The postcards, which are part of this design series, serve as a medium for communication and carry the joys and sorrows of countless Chinese people.

The realization of these designs involves the use of various materials, including culture creative products and ceramics. The postcards, for example, have dimensions of 210mm x 297mm x 2mm.

This project was designed specifically for the 80th anniversary of Guangxi Arts University and was exhibited in the cultural and creative products competition of the university in October 2018. The design process involved extensive research into the history of the school, its motto, and the designer's own professional knowledge.

One of the main challenges faced during the design process was the need to incorporate historical elements and tell historical stories through the design. The designer overcame this challenge by reading numerous historical books and finding creative ways to present the design works.

The badge designs created for the 80th anniversary of Guangxi Arts University not only highlight the unique characteristics of the region but also promote traditional Chinese culture. They serve as a testament to the university's rich history and commitment to fostering creativity and innovation.
